I know this is probably a stupid post, but I am bored at the dog park and I have a craving like no other!
Anyone ever been to a coffee shop called “Never Coffee” in Portland Oregon? I was there last year for a conference and just got a simple latte made with their Boomerang blend. I loved it so much that I brought a pound of it home, but I could never make it taste quite the same as it did in Portland (I’m aware that I can’t recreate the taste because I didn’t use an espresso machine). I took the coffee to Crimson cup and they made a pour-over iced coffee that was dang near close! They said that they weren’t able to run outside coffee through their machine, which is completely understandable.
Anyway, I have been out of the Boomerang coffee for months now and it’s $21 a pound to ship to Ohio, which I will honestly probably do, but I wanted to take a long shot first and see if anyone even knew what I was talking about.
I am seriously considering planning a trip to Portland JUST to get a cup of this coffee and a voodoo donut. I’ve Made trips like this before, but never so far away. On multiple occasions, I have taken a day trip to Pittsburgh, just to get a bunch of bread from Mancini’s.
I’m wondering if anyone has had this Never Coffee coffee experience and can compare to something local? I am, of course, open to trying any other suggestions if people claim to have had their best cup of coffee here in Columbus (doubtful, but beauty is in the tongue of the beholder)!
TLDR; Looking for a cup of coffee in Ohio that tastes similar to the latte I had in Portland Oregon called “Boomerang” from Never Coffee company.
