[SPOILER]
I’ve been rewatching this episode lately because it’s one I don’t know it well (if I’m not mistaken, this episode is excluded from most streaming services)...
After watching the episode again, I realized Dr. Fleming murdered his wife on their 10th anniversary!
The anniversary party, itself, only stood out as a separate event in the episode to me. It wasn’t until after watching the episode for about the 10th time this week that I saw the significance of this event. How gruesome!
I’m still appreciating the psychological thrill of this episode and the dialogue. The interrogation between Columbo and Dr. Fleming’s accomplice is incredible. The writers did a amazing job showing Joan’s guilt in very subtle ways.
