So in high school or middle school, whenever we would lose the first game of the season, I always thought it inherently meant we were going to have a bad year. Normally, that was always the case (we were a pretty crappy football team in general).

Now it has carried over into my love for the colts and every time they lose their first game, I think “aw great! We suck again!” (Rob Schneider voice). This doesn’t help that both times the colts made the SB were seasons they won the first game and the last time the colts won game 1 was the deflate gate AFC championship season. I love what they accomplished last season but there was still always that air of there not going to go all the way and I spend the whole season trying to convince myself otherwise.

Does anyone else have these all or nothing superstitions or beliefs?
