Would signing Kaepernick actually be a bad idea?
Post Body

After watching yesterday's pre-season game it was pretty obvious that a glaring weakness for us right now is depth at the QB position. Obviously Luck is our franchise player and by no means would I want to replace him with pretty much any QB in the league right now (sans maybe Rogers) but our second and third string players were straight up bad yesterday.

With Luck's injury status still a little up in the air, would signing Kaepernick as a solid 2nd stringer really be a bad idea right now?

I'll add that I'm a fan in the UK so the whole political thing is kind of a non-story over here and I'm not really sure how much that effects the situation.

You say he couldn't fit in any offense in the NFL. He says he could. But you mock him for his "insider knowledge?"
