This sub seems heavily skewed towards finding sex or relationships but I didn’t see another CO or Denver based sub that was more fitting so here I am like a lone fry in basket of onion rings. I’m interested in meeting someone local to Denver or within reasonable driving distance. It would be nice to have more people to go to events with, visit new places, try out different restaurants or help water my houseplants when I’m out of town.
Before I waste your time with long prose about myself, one disclaimer, I’m in a relationship. I understand some people don’t want to have conversations with people who are attached so wanted to be upfront about it. I'm primarily interested in making platonic friends but in the small chance there is mutual interest in something else it can be considered (only interested in women in this scenario). My partner and I believe one person can’t and shouldn’t meet every need and while that typically means us having our own group of friends we are open to the idea that it could include a physical/sexual relationship with other people. If you’re OK with that then please read on.
If you’re still here, hi! This is my long shot attempt at seeing if I can meet someone new. It would be a good start if we have similar interests/hobbies (cooking/baking, photography, sitcoms with laugh tracks, the occasional outdoor activity, and making stuff). Or maybe we have similar backgrounds (I’m a first gen American, have lived in 9 states, and try to live a minimalist life) or shared beliefs (round Earther). I’m interested in hearing about you, your life experiences and how you got to this point in time because I feel like my perspective is so narrow when it comes to how other people live.
If all the above sounds good to you, how should we begin? Want to do the typical get to know you dance and make small talk? I’m good with that, I actually quite enjoy small talk. If you want to mix it up maybe we start with a Rorschach inkblot or piece of modern art and each say what we see. Want to include a movie title in each sentence? Mamma Mia, here we go again. Opening messages can be awkward, I get that so no pressure to come up with something clever or unique, feel free to just start the conversation with a little about yourself, what you’re looking for, and what you have on your mind.
