Has anyone else noticed their mail being tampered with?

I live downtown and over the past month my roommate and I have noticed our letters being torn at the seam or having a corner torn off. It doesn't seem accidental because it's only happened with "real" mail instead of useless junk mail. I've also had two things go missing in the mail and I don't think it's the sender's fault. Has anyone else in the area experienced the same problem?
