This afternoon I witnessed someone confronting a “professional “ photographer taking pictures of a family on active train tracks. I say family…two small girls maybe four and an infant baby held by Mom while squatting down on the train tracks, proud dad in the background. I say active train tracks ,as there was a train horn sounding in the distance. The photographer was yelling obscenities and acting very ‘professional’ towards the person in front of this family. This person was telling them that they were indeed trespassing and that train horn was not in their imagination….” We’ll be quick”, is what this photographer said. The point was made though, as the family did get off the tracks while yelling and gesturing the whole time. Classy parenting.
I’m just wondering, what kind of photographer thinks it’s a good idea to go onto active railroad tracks without knowing whether or not a train is coming…especially with young children? Seriously? Great example for the young ones, too parents. Go ahead and just trespass and put yourself in a very dangerous situation. No respect for property or danger. I heard the dad say, are they YOUR train tracks? Ignorance. Great choices all around. Be safe out there. Or don’t.
