Night Blindness
Post Body

I'm new to this sub so I apologize if this has been discussed before. I'm Red-Green color blind (don't remember which one) and I also have terrible night blindness. It has gotten worse and worse over the years.

A couple years ago I brought it up to my ophthalmologist whether night blindness goes along with color blindness and if it got worse over time.

He told me that many color blind people do have night blindness and that yes, both color blindness and night blindness increases as you age. The way he explained it is that because I see fewer of the colors I'm seeing less light which causes the night blindness. And because as you age your eye starts seeing less light anyway (slowly) that both the color blindness and night blindness will get worse.

Anybody else out there have serious night blindness to go along with your color blindness? Has it gotten worse since you aged (either or both)?
