Oddball noob questions that came to me in the shower. Roast me if you want.

Post Body

My entire life I've rarely worn colgone. Sure, to weddings, a random date night, etc. But never as a collector or regular user.

Starter my collection thanks to the folks here. Had great recs and spent quite a bit of time in department stores trying different kinds at all different price points. It's fun obsession.

Some weird questions I'm asking myself since I have no experience wearing cologne. Obviously I know some of these questions I'll answer for myself as I experiment and put the hours in wearing them but...

How long after you spray yourself will you smell it? (On myself, not someone else smelling me). I sprayed myself and I'm not sure if it's because I never wear it and I'm sensitive to it or I put way to much on?

Which leads to a common question with no right answer...how do you guys spray it on you? I'm looking for a subtle smell. So far I've done one light spritz on both wrists. One light spritz on neck both sides and one light spritz on chest. Too much? I feel people on Mars could smell me.

When I stop smelling myself or noticing it, is it gone or did I get desensitized to the smell? Or a little of both?

Do all of the above questions go away after I get used to this?

Real answers are appreciated but I also realize I tee'd myself for a roasting as well.
