Anyone else's college do this?

I get this email from my college:
You can donate to a professor to have them slimed, slimed, and fathered, slime, feather, and confetti, or slime, feather, confetti, and glittered!!!
Personally I think this is demeaning even though it's marketed as a morale booster. I'm sort of embarrassed when I see emails like this! We are supposed to be an academia school, not a clown school, in my humble opinion.
Anyone else who has insight on this?
