So I have a question and kind of a statement, I will start with the statement and end with the question ( please don’t come after me) I’m not sure how many people like or dislike Colleen Hoover, but I don’t think she ever romanticized abuse, in the book it ends with us it gives people who may not understand what I or what others have been through, it puts you in the shoes of the victim who gets abused and you get the thoughts from her and more importantly you understand why it’s hard to leave a relationship, I think my only downside is in nov 9th when they comment on their kids genitalia.. regardless I will continue to read her books as I’ve only read it ends with us and almost done with it starts with us
Now to the question, but first a small disclaimer, I never read dark romance books but I plan to listen and read them when I get books for Christmas using an Amazon gift card, I love smut and I’m sure I’ll love dark romance because I’m into cnc, my question then is, if Colleen Hoover is someone to romantize abuse, wouldn’t dark romance fall into the same category, and if so why does Colleen Hoover get hate, but dark romance is less hated on?
