How to make major life decisions while being collapse aware
Post Body

Feels like my life is on a two lane track. One track is based on the paradigm I was born into (which is not based in reality) quality of life, opportunities will be better than what my parents had. Partially this is true, living as a black american in the US and also being the first to go to college in my family, part of that is legitimately true. The other track is that, collectively (not just for black americans), quality of life, life expectancy, etc is decreasing in the US and worldwide.

I am seeking an understanding to the second track of mind, that indeed things are progressively getting worse, infrastructures, systems, etc. What is a 39 year old single person supposed to do?

Are there folks on this thread who are of color or marginalized in other ways? I am unwilling to just move on a plot of land and start growing my own food. I honestly don't understand how that could help me. Yet, it seems like literature I am reading, collapse aware folks who have funds tend to be doing off grid living. For folks who that is unavailable for, what and how do you make any decisions?

For people who do not have family ties, how are you navigating, no kids, no partner, ect?
