tl;dr - Politik, IMP, CB, Sparks cut second straight night and not replaced, yielding the shortest tour set Coldplay have had in over a decade. Please discuss in the comments what in the world the rationale behind these absurd decisions might be.

Hello Coldplay community, allow me to present you with some stats comparing the AHFOD and MOTS world tours.

On average the number of songs played (excluding MOTS Peru/Colombia)…

Before C-stage:

• AHFOD: 16 Coldplay songs, sometimes 1 David Bowie cover
• MOTS: 17 Coldplay songs (since Politik had been added)

On C-stage:

• AHFOD: 3 or 4 songs (at least 2 Coldplay, sometimes all 4 Coldplay; always 1 audience-choice!)
• MOTS: 2 songs (usually only 1 Coldplay)

After C-stage:

• AHFOD: 3 songs
• MOTS: 3 songs

Now let’s compare some of the legs of the MOTS tour to each other:

• Night 1: 23 songs (including Coloratura, Orphans, EL, GPASUYF)
• Rest of Central America: ~22 songs (Coloratura on and off, some rotation)
• US: 20 songs 1 “city” song, no rotation
• European tour: 22 songs (added Politik, Magic)
• Peru: 21 songs (cut Politik)
• Colombia: 19 songs (cut Charlie Brown, In My Place, Sparks; playing SJLT twice)

The previous tour had 23 songs nightly; this tour reached that number on just night 1. This tour also dropped audience-choice. ”Okay, whatever. A slightly shorter set, less variety and rotation.”

But then these last 2 nights in Colombia happened!!! what is GOING ON?! The set has been reduced to just 19 songs. You cut Politik, In My Place, Charlie Brown, and Sparks just to play SJLT a second time?!!!!!! this is actually insane.

what on Earth is the rationale to cut the set down so short, play a song twice, remove some fan favorites, and remove THE Xylonband stadium anthem?
