After extensive negotiations and the terms being hammered out, Portugal is ready to cede its territories in India to India. If the terms, which include the continued use of the airport and harbor uninterrupted and the basing of a small contingent of Portuguese forces there to work with Indians ones, are obeyed, then Portugal has no issue to ceding the territory at the end of the year. India will become the full owner of all former Portuguese territory except for the parts of the harbor and airport Portugal is using, and the treaty is now ready to sign.
