Portugal would like to propose a deal for the United Kingdom regarding aircraft licensing and development. We’d request the licensing of Rolls-Royce jet engines for training and other aircraft we wish to build and in exchange Portugal would purchase a number of aircraft from the UK that the government sees fit, be that military or civilian. This contract could also include future options if TAP wishes to expand it’s fleet and the government may look more favorably upon UK built aircraft. The UK may put numbers on how many/what types of aircraft and Portugal will review the offer, and we thank the UK for their generosity.
