¡Ven y Ve! Come and see! The whispers blow through the towns in the hills and crags, down from the mountains and into the valleys and lands around them. Between gouts of gunfire between the local Republican bandits and the Civil Guard, there are words to be had about them. They’re promising an uplift for the people after what is now seven years of pain and repression. They’re promising a world where landlords and bosses and the Civil Guard are not needed.

¡Ven y Ve! The bandits in the berets do not name an ideology or system, but they merely put forth a vision of the better world which they are trying to bring about. When they can, they buy the goods of the town and speak as fellow humans, against the hyenas who stand atop the world at present. They’re sons and daughters, they’re locals, they were known, once. Now they are known again.

¡Ven y Ve! They are not bandits! They know who they are, and they want you to know too! They will whisper, they will speak, they will yell, and they want your voice raised with theirs so that you may know freedom too!

¡Ven y Ve! The whispers say, Come and See and hold your head high rather than to the ground where the Civil Guard and Franco wish to keep it, you farmer, you worker, you human who will not be torn apart by condors and hyenas so easily!
