Soldiers, sailors, countrymen--you are about to return to the land of your homes and ancestors, completing what we have worked for the past decade. The world watches us today, and our ancestors look down upon us. The hopes of the Chinese people in their millions are with you on this day. In company with our allies and fellow soldiers, already fighting boldly on many fronts, we will rid China of the communist tyrants that have plagued it for so many years--that not only are content to make themselves new emperors in Zhongnanhai, but delight in selling out China to the Soviet Union and lower themselves to mandate the precise manner in which a simple, virtuous peasant can farm. You will bring about the end of their cruel interregnum, and restore China to its place as a free nation without peer and realize the Three Principles of the People.

Your task will not be easy, but little worth doing is. The enemy will fight fiercely in his millions, hardened by years of conflict and fanaticism. Do not underestimate the raw desperation of a cornered dog.

But much has passed in the last ten years. The communists have suffered great defeats; entire armies of them have been wiped out in a flash. Today we hold in Taipei their greatest commander, an ailing old man like his comrades. Our hard work and support from our allies in the cause of the free nations of the world have provided us with overwhelming resources and support the likes of which we have never seen before. Do not forget the experience in Ju!

I have absolute confidence in your unbelievable courage and skill in the arts of war, and together today we shall prevail, and tomorrow, and the day after that, until the day when we finally reach Peking and depose the communist tyrants and rid China of their scourge forever!
