A third mysterious broadcast:
The Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs, attached to the Government-in-Exile, Aleksander Warma was next to speak. His speech was diplomatic in focus, as one might expect.
To the Estonian people he had a simple message: Their government still persisted. Freedom from Soviet rule was possible, and the men they had elected years ago before the Germans came still kept the torch of Estonian democracy burning across the world. They had friends in Washington, London, Oslo, and other democracies worldwide who would gladly welcome the Estonian people back into the ranks of the democracies of the world if only they were able to end their exile, return to Tallinn, and at last restore freedom to their homeland denied now by over twenty years of occupations.
Minister Warma warned his people that the journey may be fraught with danger, but in this moment with the Lithuanians taking the first steps towards liberation the focus of Moscow must necessarily be taken from other places. If there was a time to ever retake Estonia, it would be now.
God Bless Estonia! God guide the arms of the Estonian people! God give Estonia Freedom at last!
