As a conglomerate, Pan-German Breweries has invested in a lot of different businesses. However, for political reasons related to having a positive association to it by the general populace, it must move into sectors that are more consumer and family-oriented to truly become a fixture in the democratic German's daily life. After all, while alcohol is good, agricultural subsidiaries in foreign countries and arms factories might have steered the company in a non-optimal direction PR wise.
Hence, PGB has announced its latest direction: children's toys. Named "Deutschblöcke", these are toys consisting out of plastic/polymer cubes that can interlock with each other in many different configurations. They will come in different compatible sizes such as the famous 2x4, 1x2, 2x8, 1x8, and be rectangular hollow blocks with round studs on top. German children will grow up with superior intellects, engineering acumen, and creativity due to playing with these toys interactively. They will be abbreviated as "Deblo" for children who cannot pronounce the former name.
PGB officials have made no mention of British Patent infringement on Hilary "Harry" Fisher Page's "Kiddicraft Self-Locking Building Bricks", which are sorta/exactly the same concept. However, if he does notice, we will pretend like we meant ask him all along and give him tons of money to come work for us
These "Deblos" will come to market by 1948.
[m: OTL, the Danish Lego group were the ones to rip off Page's work, but he didn't really ever notice until it was too late meaning that the Lego group got away with it.]
