After much deliberation, the Syrian Arab Republic, a nation that has not signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, have deliberated on settling this issue. In Syrian Parliament for the last three weeks, the country has been deliberating on the issue before finally agreeing; we have acceded to the 1925 Geneva Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use in War of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or Other Gases, and of Bacteriological Methods of Warfare.
We hereby announce our full support of the 1925 Geneva Protocol and will prohibit ourselves to these weapons of mass destruction. We hope that this will be the start of a pleasant and safe future, if ever aggressive warfare is repeated by our country.
