An Official Interior Report Regarding a Discussion Held by President Peron with his Interior Minister Juan Carlos Ongania and Secretary of Intelligence Rodolfo Freude

Freude: This is a problem.

There is an audible thud on the desk. Likely a telegram.

Peron: I am aware.

Ongania: It will be necessary to move others. I'm recommending moving them to the interior. We'll give new names.

Freude: How can we be sure they won't be found?

Ongania: We'll ramp up police presence across the board. Need to anyway, students are getting antsy again. I'd also recommend an audit of the Interior Ministry and increase surveillance of "tourists."

Ongania: That would be prohibitively expensive, not to mention risky.

Freude: A necessary risk.

Peron taps his desk. The other two men go quiet.

Peron: We'll reorganize the Interior. Assign surveillance units for our guests and ensure daily activities are recorded thoroughly. We're issuing an official complaint to the UN-although I doubt it will result in much. We must show we will not tolerate spies in our nation. Round up any suspected of working with the kidnappers. Handle them at your leisure. Relocate them and ensure they're secure. If it seems they are compromised, we'll have them shipped across the border.

It is at this point that the men appear to agree with one another. The meeting is quickly adjourned. This record will be censored following review by the Interior Minister.

President Peron has issued an interior letter regarding a "reorganization" of the Interior Ministry: the Secretariat of Intelligence will be forming a new "Division for Immigrant Security" (DSI) to be officially placed under the Foreign Affair Ministry as a subdivision of the Ministry for Immigration. The DSI will observe and ensure the security of European "Special Immigrants" as the Nazis and assorted fascist exiles are referred to by the S.I. to protect from kidnapping and illegal extradition. In any cases of official extradition being requested, the Ministry of Justice is to delay as needed until the individual in question is safely moved out of the country.

The Special Immigrant List will include a large number of fake individuals and actual, legitimate immigrants to help throw off potential spies.

The Secretariat of Intelligence will begin a crackdown on suspected foreign agents and spies. Any person captured as part of this crackdown will be interrogated and executed with the remains disposed of in a quiet and anonymous matter in the Patagonian desert.

The S.I., in collaboration with PFA units and elements of the Army, will also begin a crackdown on suspected leftists and anti-government organizers. This will particularly target student leaders and non-CGT aligned labor leaders.

A further interior investigation will be launched by the S.I. and the Ministry of Justice into the Argentine Armed Forces and Interior Ministry to determine where an information leak may have occurred regarding the locations and identities of Special Immigrants. This will also be used as an "audit" of the Interior Ministry to help clear out anti-Peronist elements of the Military and Interior services.

Given the large and sensitive nature of the operation and the many moving pieces required for it to proceed safely, President Peron will be personally overseeing every detail and report drafted by the S.I. and will selectively disseminate information to the Ministries of Justice and the Interior.
