The Kuomintang have effectively been pushed off the mainland. There are some resisting groups of disbanded NRA divisions in the southern foothills who resisted Chiang Kai-Shek’s relocation to Taipei, but otherwise the bulk of Kuomintang material and men are on the islands. Hainan and Taiwan are the main two islands that will need to be liberated in order to have fully united and freed the whole of China. Already we have troops training and fleets preparing to accomplish these tasks.

But there are several small islands and bases that must be captured before the landing operations on the major two islands can begin. For months we have been preparing to fully commit to the Islands Campaign, which began late last year with the landing on some small islands off the coast of Fujian. Already two major island bases have fallen to the People’s Liberation Army, and there is one large island base to seize before the operations on Hainan and only a few more before that on Taiwan can proceed.

First thing, we will take Nan’ao, a Kuomintang controlled island base held by just over a thousand NRA troops. We have roughly eight thousand men from the 121st division of the 41st army of the PLA, experienced from previous island battles, to use for the landing. The island is cut off from reinforcement and resupply as the Kuomintang government cares more to consolidate their fascistic dictatorship over Taiwan.

We will prepare parallel attacks on the Wanshan Archipelago and Dongshan Island, which will be seized in a similar manner. These places will be tougher to take then Nan’ao, but will fall to our greater numbers and tactical superiority and more experienced soldiers (not to mention our higher morale. We have already won, we simply need now to fully liberate China).

Our fleet of junks is resistant to anti-ship fire as shells simply pass through their wooden hulls, meaning we can simply repair these holes with plugs. We will make it to the islands and seize these areas and use them as forward operating bases for our future landing operations later this year!
