With King Saud away from the country for medical reasons, the Prime Minister, Crown Prince Faisal has largely taken over his duties, acting as a de facto regent. Using this new freedom, he has quickly taken to filling several important government positions with relatives loyal to him and holding confidential meetings with the religious elite with who he has nurtured a great relationship via consistent shows of great personal piety, as well as his blood relation to the Wahhabi Grand Mufti of the Kingdom through his mother. Following the talks, several members of the Al-Shaykh family have begun praising Faisal as the one to restore the Saudi Kingdom to glory.
