Post Body

In December of last year, I lost my cousin to suicide. He meant a lot to me and supported me with whatever he was able to. He was so enthusiastic and so, so loving. But he had some demons that he couldn’t fight any longer.

A few weeks later, his mother took her life too. She was so sweet, but fought similar demons and understandably missed her son.

I’m making this post today because I would like for users to comment about something that keeps them alive. Something that makes life great, big or small. I want others to know that this life is hard but is still worth living. That things get better. That they are loved and people care.

Nobody ever deserves to feel like the are worthless to that point.

I would like to select 10 of the comments on this post to send free random world coins to, no charge, but shipped risky in an envelope.

People need to hear that life can be good and even great. That they are loved and wanted.

If you or someone you know feels this way now or ever, please call a loved one or this number: 1-800-273-8255

I will pick some comments out and send the coins out Monday.

Thank you.

EDIT:

I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments, kind words and experiences/stories. I'm proud to be apart of a community with such supportive and inspiring people. I wish you all the very best and I thank you all again for everything. A lot of happy tears reading these comments. I've read many several times and I'll be returning to this thread during the bad days. I've picked out some commenters to send coins to.

Much love.

Thanks for sharing your story and for making this thoughtful giveaway.

My grandpa gave me his penny collection when he passed. It isn’t worth anything but it has been fun trying to hunt to down the missing years. It makes me think of him often. :)
