Coinbase BTC transaction fee
Post Body

I sent BTC from Coinbase to my ledger. On CB, I just clicked the regular ā€œsendā€ and Input my ledger address etc. the Coinbase window popped up with an ā€œestimated feeā€ and all was normal without any option to manually adjust the fee.

I see in Memepool now a yellow icon next to my transaction that says ā€œFee Rate Overpaid 2xā€

How do I avoid this? I know 2x overpay isnā€™t that much, but I have also read horror stories recently about people accidentally paying millions of dollar transactions fees.

If I was expecting my ā€œestimated feeā€ to be 5$ and turns out to be 30$. I can live with that. But if Iā€™m expecting my fee to be 5$ and then after I click ā€œsendā€ it turns into 1 million. lol I canā€™t live with that.

Any tips or ideas?
