Coinbase BTC transaction fee

I sent BTC from Coinbase to my ledger. On CB, I just clicked the regular “send” and Input my ledger address etc. the Coinbase window popped up with an “estimated fee” and all was normal without any option to manually adjust the fee.

I see in Memepool now a yellow icon next to my transaction that says “Fee Rate Overpaid 2x”

How do I avoid this? I know 2x overpay isn’t that much, but I have also read horror stories recently about people accidentally paying millions of dollar transactions fees.

If I was expecting my “estimated fee” to be 5$ and turns out to be 30$. I can live with that. But if I’m expecting my fee to be 5$ and then after I click “send” it turns into 1 million. lol I can’t live with that.

Any tips or ideas?
