I am writing this for all the people who continuously post how coinbase is bad and for all the people that question if they should use or avoid coinbase.
I have had a coinbase account since Feb 2021. I have never had a problem buying crypto or moving it to a cold storage wallet or coinbase wallet. A few days ago I set a limit order to sell a couple thousand dollars and this morning it hit the limit. Then I remembered all these message about coinbase and how they steal your money. So I decided to transfer the money to my bank and see how long it took to get the money in my account. I had 2 choices, to get the money immediately and pay about $100 or take 3 business day and it would be in my account by Feb 11 for no fee. I decided on the no fee option.
About 3 hours later I got an alert on my phone that the amount I withdrew from coinbase was deposited in my bank. I checked and there it was. Never got locked out of my account, they didn't steal my money, there was no scam, or any of the other 100 bullsh*t reasons people post negative stuff on here.
So for all the new accounts on Redit that say negative things, this is a true story that happened to me today. If you take precautions and don't do stupid things with your login or account, you should have no problems with coinbase. I didn't!
