Is there a career path for baristas? Like becoming a master barista just as there are master roasters?
Post Body

If so, what would be the proper route to take for that? I've always wanted to work for a third wave cafe/speciality coffee cafe, but they always want you to have 1-2 years of experience as a barista at a chain or something. I'm really passionate about coffee, and I'm curious to know if I can make a living out of being a barista.

Thanks for any info you can give.
