Ended up with a surplus of beans, best storage method before they go stale?
Post Body

(I know, I know, give them all to the users here.)

According to this sub, this is probably a great "problem" to have, but I ended up with about 25 different bags of beans. Most of them are smaller sample bags, at about 4 ounces, but based on simple math I have done, I have about 3 months worth of coffee, since I live alone and only make one cup a day. Right now, the beans are stored in some of those plastic OXO containers, or at least what will fit in the few that I have, but I feel like those containers are not air tight and won't keep the beans fresh that long.

They were roasted about 2 weeks go, so from what i gather, freezing them won't do much good since they need to be frozen directly after roast date, is that correct? Some of the roasts are dark roasts which I hear fall off quickly, especially after 2 weeks, so I have been trying to drink those first but there are still many left to try.

Is there any way I can make these beans stay fresh long enough to enjoy them, or should I start trying one cup from each nag and them give them away?
