I’m addicted to coffee (as I’m sure most of you are). It has to be first thing I drink in the morning or I’ll feel off and tired the whole day. However, I was never too fond of the taste. I really only drink it for the caffeine boost.
I was sitting in a cafe with a new friend today, and as we got our coffee she took a sip and was like “omg I could drink this instead of water.” I laughed and jokingly asked how is that possible. I then found out that she drinks coffee literally only for the taste, and the caffeine has no effect on her. She then said that most of her friends are the same as her.
I was super surprised at this as I thought everyone drank it for the caffeine boost. Her favorite is Jamaican blue mountain coffee while she stays Starbucks tastes like acid mixed with dirt. Not knowing the taste difference, I always thought Starbucks was one of the best.
I want to know what you guys think. Do you drink it more for the caffeine or the taste? What type of coffee do you guys like? What’s your opinion on Starbucks/dunkin compared to smaller specialized places?
EDIT: so it looks like almost everyone prefers taste to caffeine, I feel so alone lol. Anyways, now I’m curious. Do you consider Starbucks or dunkin good quality coffee? If not, where do you get it from? (Jamaica, Africa, Columbia etc)
