So I have the go ahead from my wife to pick out a good grinder for my own Christmas gift and I need some advice--and quick! :)
I'm looking at eventually getting an espresso setup, but grinder first. From what I've read, people say take your budget and spend 2/3 of it on a grinder, 1/3 on the espresso machine. Does that sound about right?
So as far as budget, I have the go ahead for $1000 total. I'm not planning on winning any competitions and I'm not all that picky, but I'd like to be able to a decent espresso. Is that enough?
With that in mind, about $600 for a grinder? What would you recommend? I pretty much have to order today or tomorrow and hope it's on Amazon or it won't be here for Christmas, but I'd rather have the right one than the wrong one quickly. Still--help fast? :)
