Where's the bitterness coming from?
Post Body

Okay. I have a cup of coffee in my hand right now. I got it from a coffee shop to go. Normally they do french press and chemex, but during the weekend it comes from a big percolator.

The coffee is okay, but theres a little bit of bitterness that sort of ruins it. Any tips on discerning where the bitterness is coming from? It's my understanding that it could be a number of things, including burnt beans, old beans, over-extraction in the brewing process, et cetera. I'm working on developing my palate and I need some help! Thanks.
