I'm rewatching the series for the first time in years, and it's my boyfriend's first time ever and we're watching season 4, and in the episode where Herb and Nicholas see Odd and Aelita in the factory, Odd concocts the plan to have them kiss in front of Herb and Nicholas in order to keep them from finding the supercomputer.

Then I realized, how the hell was that supposed to not arouse suspicion, as Aelitas whole cover story is that she's Odds cousin?

Oh we can't let them find the supercomputer but we can let them think that these two cousins are having a secret relationship? Doesn't make much sense
