I was at a family gathering yesterday and one of the uncles (aged 60s) jokingly said "I wish I could marry another wife so that there is a 2nd wife to help his current wife with the household chores and other works" laughs

Everybody laughed , EXCEPT ME !! I questioned him with "SO is this why u marry women , to make them do all the works for free?" And he comes at me with "What else r u getting married for? Tell me" laughs At this point I felt so uncomfortable , I KNEW IF I SAID A WORD , I would show him hell , the whole family including him would hate me for the rest of his life , so I left the place silently . I'M THE BIGGER PERSON HERE 😭👌 I mean WAS I SUPPOSED TO LAUGH ? CUZ IMAGINE The roles where reversed If my Aunt said shit like "Sometimes I wish I could marry a 2nd husband so that we would hv double income in house" How many of these idiots would laugh ?!?!?!?!?
