Coaching Encroaching on Therapy?

Post Body

I am taking the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching certification course in August and was curious if anyone had any experience with having therapists say you're not qualified to do trauma work?

There are multiple ways to work with mental health and there are some distinct differences between coaching and therapy, but lots of overlap these days as more organizations are providing their training for coaches. Somatic Experience, Internal Family Systems (creating a course for release in August), and CBT for coaches are just some examples of big names in the therapy field.

Has anyone run into these issues? If so, what happened and how did it end up being resolved?
