Iām fully prepared to eat my words now that in the lead up I kept saying āless people on the fields will be more funā because woah was it a mindfuck to be in that venue yesterday with what felt like 50k less people than normal.
The Sahara was where it was most jarring ā it was almost like there wasnāt enough people in there for the sound system to properly vibrate off the (lack of) crowd.
To put it into perspective for anyone who has been before, some of my crew was able to spread a blanket and lay down while under the tent during the night setsā¦. Can you imagine?! In sahara????
I was with a couple of first timers and I just couldnāt even communicate to them what a stark contrast was going on. And then walking from stage to stage I kept waiting for a bad bottleneck but it just never came?
The beer garden by sahara was completely empty when walking out tooā¦ Im sure there will be more people today but the lack really fucked with me yesterday lol
Anyone else able to give perspective on your perceived capacity
