Upgraded? Downgraded? It’s good news.
6.1 new cases per day per 100k (I checked yesterday or the day before and they were at 8. something, but it looks like it’s only updated once a week)
3.3% positivity rate (down from 4. something)
I know other counties in California have also switched to red tier as well. The new California outdoor performance guidelines allow live events at 25% positivity with limited concessions and in-state visitors only.
Obviously we’re not ready for Coachella yet, but we’re switching tiers quickly. We’re already close-ish to orange (1-3.9 cases and 2-4.9% positivity.) I think we can get to yellow and maybe even green (which hasn’t been officially added yet) by the end of summer. Maybe? Too optimistic?
I just worry about the no out of state visitors thing. Will that extend to the green tier? Newsom’s office says green will still mean masks and some degree of social distancing.
I just want to discuss the possibility of Coachella happening based on actual regulations, etc.
