What if instead of insta regenerating health, players gain a portion of health after each kill?

For example, Fortnite for a limited time had a mechanic where after every kill you got, you automatically gained 50 health, and if you were already less than 50 health away from being full HP, that one kill brought you to full HP. Would the watchability of the CDL or the players themselves benefit from something like that, where instead of players regenerating immediately back to 100 HP after getting lit up, they gained some portion of health back automatically after each kill?
