With the new mechanic of specialists in BO3, I want to know how you guys think each of the specialists will play in competitive if they are used. Here are mine:
Ruin:
Gravity Spikes(ground-pound): I think we will see this ability being used mostly only in hardpoint to break hills. doesn't seem OP.
Overdrive: It is basically overclock, may be used in all gamemodes, doesn't seem OP.
Seraph:
Annihilator: Since the pistol has no auto-aim, I think this will be a high-skill weapon and I am excited to see plays that are made with this. Doesn't seem OP
Combat focus: Basically hardline, would probably be used whilst breaking hills, running flags, or otherwise playing the objective to get streaks. Doesn't seem OP
Outrider:
Sparrow(bow):I have heard that bow really isn't very good, so I could see this weapon being under used. Doesn't seem OP
Vision pulse: This is the one that worries me. I think that this ability could be extremely broken in SND, and maybe even in respawn. It has the same problem as the UAV; It replaces the skill of being able to predict where your opponent is. I think it will be incredibly OP
Reaper:
Scythe(mini-gun): It is the same as the mini-gun from Blops 2 which was rarely used so I don't think it will be OP.
Psychosis(hologram): From playing against the hologram ability in halo, I don't think that this ability will be very good, because it is easy to recognise that a person is actually a hologram judging from how they move. But I could see it used in SND to fake out the enemy team or test if someone is around the corner. May be OP
Prophet:
Tempest(shock gun): I think this will be used mostly in hardpoint to break a hill, and also to counter streaks. Doesn't seem OP
Glitch(teleport): this is another one that worries me, I think that it could be used to bail bad players out of making bad decisions. ex: a noob walks chases a gunfight that he shouldn't, sees that he got pulled into a trap, then uses glitch to escape out of making bad decisions. Other than that, think of the amazing jukes that this could be used for. May be OP
Nomad:
H.I.V.E(traps): ground-based explosives have never not been banned in competitive so I can definitely see this being OP, and so banned.
Rejack(Last Stand): Despite the nerfs that rejack has from the original last stand, this is in no way skillful at all, and so I could see it being banned too.
I think that Rejack, HIVE, and Visions pulse will probably be banned, since they are new versions of things that have been banned in the past(UAV, bouncing betties/claymores, and Last/final stand), glitch may be banned and I am not sure about psychosis. All of this is still subject to change, and so we will have to wait until the beta or the full game comes out to know how any of this will work. I only did all of this to make discussion because I am bored af.
