What were people's thoughts on the lack of variety when it came to this LAN?

I really enjoyed this event and is the first CoD event i've watched since the finals of CoD champs earlier this year on Ghosts. I was kind of disappointed with the lack of guns. Im not trying to make it a circlejerk over the BAL or anything and i understand pros will use the best guns but seeing literally 1 gun (snipers not included) for the whole weekend was a bit of a let down. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Would you have liked to see more variety with the guns? (if this were a more balanced game ofcourse)
