I am not in search of birth control, I use a copper device, but I am curious. I keep seeing ads for Nexplanon that say no one with a history of blood clots should use it. But many people have said it isn’t true because it only has progestin in it. But why does it up the risk if there is no estrogen in it? Have your doctors successfully given it to any of you knowing your history? How has it been? Or does it say that on Nexplanon’s ads so they can cover their own if something goes wrong? Just looking for insight.
Edit: thank you for your answers! I’ve learned lots of interesting things today.
