A number of months ago, I was given an Xbox 360 wireless guitar from a friend as a gift, and it has been serving me pretty well, and has allowed me to start learning the game. As time has gone on, my controller has started dropping some of the fret inputs, which has led to some difficulty playing some songs, and attempting my first full clears on others.
When looking at the pads on my guitar neck, it seems there are as many worn pads as problem frets. I've been considering getting a soldering iron and putting a small amount of solder on those pads to fix the connections. It seems like a solid idea because I'm not looking to replace the guitar or do any crazy DVI port mods. Am I missing the bigger picture of why this might be a bad idea?
