Manga Studio / Intuos Help

I use an Intuos pen and there seems to be a space in the window where the cursor will stay in place until I move my pen away from that no man's land. The space seems to be where the sidebar meets the canvas window.
I'm getting tired of switching to my mouse just to pick a color. I can at least use the tablet to scroll to a different brush size.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't have this problem with other programs.
