Tips on drawing with a drawing pad!

Post Body

Sup y'all,

I'm hoping somebody may be able to give me some helpful tips for drawing more accurately with a drawing pad on my computer. I've got a Ugee M708 and am using it with CSP on an iMac 27". I usually draw on paper, and what digital experience I have has been with an iPad and Apple Pencil.

I started using a Wacom Intuos which was really small, and mapping it to such a large screen was proving difficult, so I got this larger drawing pad, but I'm having trouble adjusting to having to be standing at precisely a certain angle to the pad, which is causing my line work to drift off sometimes.

I've tried different levels of zoom, drawing with my wrist, drawing with my whole arm, standing at different distances, different heights, even different angles. I know a lot of it comes down to just practice, but if anyone else has had that particular struggle, what did you do to practice more accurately so that you would develop more accurate skill?
