The last sentence sounds so bossy it really gets me
It is very interesting to me to see the two trains of thought coming from the comments here. Some people are more sensitive to patronizing/demanding/condescending tones than others (i am a super proud person and sensitive to these idiots acting like that). I definitely see massive disrespect in his first “yikes” response - so many more polite ways he could have worded that. And I also see disrespect when he commands you not to share it - something you already stated clearly that you would not do.
So I definitely would be annoyed at him, and depending on my mood, maybe not see him.
But I do also realize that men like this CAN turn out to be fine clients, and it is more profitable to ignore the tone of the messages when they ultimately do pass screening. Like let them have a little air of authority. It really burns me to let them be so condescending , but if I can swallow it, I just (try to) chuckle inside that they think they are so superior while they are probably miserable people inside.
Sometimes I know I am too quick to block people like this. It’s something I’m working on lol.

Oh absolutely! It can be very difficult to tell when clients are dangerous vs just condescending. Definitely err on the side of caution.
