Just a random idea I thought I'd throw out there.

I was thinking that maybe once per gild, or every other gild (or whatever fits), you could give us the chance to pick a node adjacent to whatever's active at the start to have unlocked permanently so that it's always active in subsequent playthroughs. You'd start off with just a few harmless nodes that don't really impact gameplay that much early on, but will gradually gain significance over a long period of time.

While CH2 isn't particularly bad with its reset mechanics, I do feel that there's not much to look forward to when it comes to gilding, and I feel that adding this type of progression would spice things up a bit. I also like the idea of having full skill tree as a goal to work towards.
