Hello! I’m a 27F who moved to Cleveland about a month ago. I’ve been looking for work here since arriving and have had one interview despite applying for over 60 jobs. (Note: Because of bad circumstances, I had to pick up and leave my home in Pennsylvania without everything being squared away in Ohio.)
Anyways, I’ve been starting to feel very depressed between trying to learn how to navigate life in a brand new city and not working, as I’ve always found a sense of purpose and fulfillment from the jobs I’ve had. I have a Master’s degree in English and have worked primarily in the social services/ nonprofit industry over the past five years, the exception being graduate school where I taught for two years. I have a great work ethic and I’m a fast learner. I just need someone to give me a shot.
Does anyone have any recommendations about where to look for work aside from social networking sites like LinkedIn or Indeed? Or does anyone have any thoughts about the Cleveland job market in general?
Thanks in advance.
