Post Body

Welcome, Flyboy, to CBB's newest semi-regular event![1]

Come join us at 0100 Zulu for hot flying action in IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad.

Briefing from German POV.

Disrupt the supply lines to the front line, in preparation for tomorrow's offensive.

A supply train will leave from Pravoe for Stepnoye. Its supplies will be transferred to another train, which will go to Zarubovka, and to a road convoy travelling to Lapino.

Additionally, there is information that an important Russian officer will be travelling from Zarubovka to Yantar.

Finally, an airborne convoy is expected to fly from SE to Yantar.

The air space around Stepnoye has Russian fighter patrols.

Summary:

  • Destroy supply train from Pravoe and Stepnoye

  • Destroy transports from Zarubovka and Stepnoye

  • Intercept air supplies to Yantar

Remarks:

  • Fly over the landing approach beacon to light up runway fires

Tonight we will be playing an IL-2 forum community mission that we tweaked a little yesterday. This is a COOP PVP, meaning players can spawn as either side and try to influence the AI objectives. Depending on community interest, we'll see how many fly and for who. Strict COOP is always a possibility.

I know this is late for some of you folks, but an entire run of the mission, at it's very longest, is just an hour. Let's get together, shoot the breeze and shoot some planes. Hope to see you in the air.

[1] Barring the obvious presence of the sporadic Midweek Manshoots, of course. ArmA community, etc.
