Antique velvet armchair

Post Body
I inherited my grans velvet chair. This was an armchair she practically lived in, so it's well used. The wood is fine, it's still comfortable, it's the velvet that's the problem. It has puckering, and if I part it where it puckers I can see the vibrant blue it once was, but the rest is dingy and yellowed. Like I said she lived in this chair, especially during her later years. Is there any way to revive it and clean it that isn't re-upholstering it?
