Need Help Cleaning Cat Urine out of a cloth couch

We just got a cloth couch from my boyfriend’s friend and it reeks of cat pee. I can’t visibly see any but there is no denying that smell. We really don’t have the money to buy a new couch and the couch is great other than the smell. We’ve tried washing all of the outsides of the cushions in the washer and spraying a bunch of Febreeze on it. I want to rent a steam cleaner from Home Depot and try that.

Are there any tips or certain cleaners that help with cat urine? I want to keep the couch but if we can’t get the smell out we’ll have to trash it.

We ended up having our couch just hauled away. Tried everything. Cat pee is the worst.
