Help! Kid left an uncapped marker on the quilt my godmother made for my birth

Iām not sure what the material is but Iām guessing cotton? The last picture shows the marker that I found lying on top of my quilt. This quilt was handmade by my godmother to commemorate my birth. I have very few items left from my early childhood and Iām absolutely heartbroken. The stain bled all the way through (shown in the 3rd picture). Is it salvageable?
